WELCOME TO THE 2026/27 JUNIOR SEASON
The 2026/27 Junior Season runs across Terms 4 and 1, with Wednesday training, Friday night District Competition and junior tournaments and events.
Train together on Wednesday. Play for your district on Friday. Be part of something bigger!

This season means more chances for Gold Coast juniors to get in the pool, play regular games and be part of a team, without having to travel to Brisbane for weekly competition.
And it’s about building stronger Gold Coast players, quality local competition and a junior program our players can be proud to call their own.
⭐ HOW THE 2026/27 JUNIOR SEASON WORKS
- Join GC Water Polo
- Train together on Wednesdays at Trinity Lutheran College
- Play for your district on Fridays (starting with Trials on 9 & 16 October) at Southport
- Take part in tournaments & representative opportunities
- Build towards the District Grand Final on 21 March

⭐ JUNIOR TRAINING ON WEDNESDAYS

Players from across the Gold Coast train together at Trinity Lutheran College, Senior Campus, Ashmore Road, with sessions focused on skills, confidence, game understanding and enjoying water polo.
Term 4 Training: Wednesday 7 October – Wednesday 9 December 2026
Term 1 Training: Wednesday 3 February – Wednesday 17 March 2027

⭐ DISTRICT COMPETITION ON FRIDAY NIGHTS
Friday night is game night! Players represent their district in the Gold Coast Junior District Competition at Southport..
The first two Friday nights of the Junior District Competition (9 & 16 October), will be District Trials. These sessions will help GCWP see players in the water and establish the new districts and competition teams for the season.
🕒 When: Term 4 and Term 1, Friday nights from 4:30pm
📍 Venue: Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Southport
🤽 Age groups: U10 • U12 • U14 • U16
🏆 Grand Final: Sunday 21 March 2027, Miami Pool

Every Gold Coast junior will have a district to call their own, giving them a team, colours and community to belong to throughout the season.

⭐ JUNIOR EVENTS & TOURNAMENTS
Throughout the season, GCWP junior players can take part in tournaments, championships and other competitions beyond the weekly Gold Coast District program. Opportunities include Queensland Country Championships, State Titles, Banana Bowl and Australian Youth Championships.

All players participating in the 2026/27 Junior Season will need the appropriate GCWP membership.
Train & Play junior membership: $317 for the season
Includes $67 Silver Junior registration + $250 Junior Training & Competition add-on.
Have a Play On! voucher? Eligible Queensland families may be able to use a Play On! voucher of up to $200 towards eligible junior participation costs. Download your voucher and have it ready to upload during registration.
