Our annual Fast 5’s Water Polo Competition is an action-packed event features great games, prizes, food, and more. It is held in honour of Lutzy and his outstanding contributions to the Gold Coast Water Polo Club. Please keep updated on our social media for the 2026 Lutzy Fast 5's dates.

Divisions:
Basic Rules:
- Mixed Teams with 1 female player on the field at all times.
- Teams are a minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 players per game.
- Teams will need 1 goalie and 4 field players.
- Exclusions swim to the corner then back in.
- Once goal is scored, the goalkeeper starts the attack. No starting in the middle.
- 2 x 8 minute running halves*
*game times may change depending on team nominations
Requirements
- First game sets up. Last game packs up.
- All players to be registered with Queensland Water Polo through their club or GCWP
- 16 and 17 year olds to submit age exemption for open by 3rd September
- One referee required from each team in opens. If new they will be paired with an experience referee.
Individual and Team nominations are now closed.
Teams are a minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 per game.
Clubs submitting teams can be sent an invoice for the amount.
