Your New Districts Teams
YOUR DISTRICT. YOUR TEAM. YOUR COMMUNITY.
From the 2026/27 season, every GCWP junior will have a district to call their own.
Your district gives your child a team, colours and community to belong to throughout the season. Juniors continue to train and develop together on Wednesdays, then represent their district in Friday night competition.
Our four districts are Northern Dolphins, Central Mudcrabs, Coastal Crocs and Southern Stingrays.
⭐ YOUR DISTRICT
Your district is predominantly based on where you live and/or go to school, with final district allocations confirmed by GCWP after the Friday night trials (9 & 16 October).
Not sure which district your child belongs to? That's okay. GCWP will confirm your child's district as part of the allocation process.

Being part of a district gives every junior player a team to belong to and an identity to be proud of. Whether they're a Croc, Dolphin, Mudcrab or Stingray, we want every player to feel proud to represent their district and be part of the wider Gold Coast Water Polo community.

Build towards the Gold Coast Junior District Grand Final on Sunday 21 March 2027 at Miami Pool, where all four districts come together to compete and celebrate the season.

How is my child's district decided?
Your child’s district is based on where you live and or go to school, with final allocations confirmed by GCWP.
Does my child train only with their district?
No. Players from all four districts train together on Wednesdays.
Does my child's district change during the season?
No. Your district stays with you for the season.

You don't need to work everything out yourself. Register your child and GCWP will guide you through the appropriate program and district allocation.
