2026/27 Friday Junior District Competition

Friday night junior competition runs across Terms 4 and 1 at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.

The Gold Coast Junior District Competition gives GCWP juniors regular game experience throughout the season, providing an important opportunity to put the skills they develop at training into practice.

The first two Friday sessions will be district team trials and grading rounds. These sessions will help GCWP form teams within each district for fair, competitive games across the season.

Players compete under their district identity throughout the season.

Friday night games help players develop game awareness, decision-making, teamwork and confidence, while learning how to compete as part of a team. Players represent their district in fair, competitive games designed to provide meaningful opportunities for every player.

District Trials: Friday 9 & 16 October 2026
Competition begins: Friday 23 October 2026
Final Term 4 games: Friday 11 December 2026
Christmas break: 12 December 2026 – 4 February 2027
Competition recommences: Friday 5 February 2027
Final competition games: Friday 19 March 2027
Junior District Grand Final: Sunday 21 March 2027
